Entropia Universe

Entropia Universe - the CryEngine 2 MMO with a real cash economy. That is you’re able to transfer real life cash into the games currency, and vice versa. Of course if you don’t intend on spending money, you can play for free and still withdraw if you wish. Theres various professions from hunting to mining, even crafting and piloting... you're never tied to one profession.

The great thing is that it only costs as much as you want it to. The cost varies from playing it for free to spending thousands of USD on weapons and skills - in the end is determined by the players disposable income and willingness to 'pay to play'.

Now in case you're wondering, thats not some random picture above scraped off Google images. That is Arokh, my avatar since mid-2005. Neither is it an exceptionally effeminate male, but in in fact a female avatar. Yes. I play as a woman. Reason being that female armour is cheaper.

Honestly!

Out of all the professions I chose to be a hunter, meaning trips out into the wild and shooting anything that's not human. Why? Because in my opinion at least, it's the most fun. You get to play with guns and when eventually skilled enough, are likely to enjoy the sport/pastime of player killing. Unless of course you're one of these people who feels its wrong to shoot a fellow colonist.

Machinima - "Planet Calypso - A Newbies Life"

In August 2007 (before VU9.0 where we had to remake our avatars) fellow society members finally motivated me to make this film about newbies in the game. It's done in a Discovery Channel kind of way, filmed using my avatar and screen capture software. My thanks go out to:

qc (Terra Verde), JackFree (JetStar Alliance) for letting me pester them ingame to come and act.
Craze3 (Fat Rats), Mike Masters (Natural Born Killers) and drewmo (Soaring Eagles) for being good sports at the oil rig.
And of course anyone else I forgot...

Now sit back, relax and enjoy the documentary on a newbie:

Machinima - "Arokh's Bushcraft"

After making the video above, people kept pestering me to make another movie. So I did, and doing the same "documentary" theme, I came up with this survival show. Anyone who has seen things like "Ray Mears Bushcraft" or similar shows should find this ever so cleche. Which was intended. Thanks to the two people who participated in the making! Competition - Kevin Rudolph's Let It Rock

MindArk set up a competition for players to make a promotional video for Entropia Universe, with the only condition that it must be to Kevin Rudolphs 'Let It Rock'song. Needless to say during editing I heard that frikkin' song hundreds, if not thousands of times... so NEVER want to hear it again. I kinda lost heart in doing this video about halfway through, and in the last day or so figured 'what the hell?' and quickly rushed to finish it. Hence it gets crap at the end. As far as I'm aware, I was the only entrant who rebuilt ENTIRE areas of the game world for the video (the ship landing, dancing robots, rotating 3D wireframes of items) - still renders of those can be seen in my 3D section of this site. That should count for something right?

I didn't win though - which to be honest I wasn't surprised about considering mine goes crap halfway through, and how good others were. Felt a bit down about not being one of the runners up though, considering my effort of building large areas of the game world from scratch. But oh well, nevermind... think I'll just stick to making amusing ones ;)

In-Game Services

FAP80 (32 heal @ 27 uses/min 6PEC decay/click - maxxed)
EK2600 (42 heal @ 27 uses/min 9PEC decay/click - maxxed)
Hedoc SK50 (L) (69 heal @ 20 uses/min 6.3PEC decay/click - maxxed)
Vivo UR125 (L) (60-80 heal @ 20 uses/min 7PEC decay/click)
(UR125 no longer maxxed due to recent chipping out)

No fee per hour.
No % of globals, but would like 5% of HOFs over 500PED or any ATH.
Decay on FAP/EK/UR only must be payed, no need to worry about my armour decay or anything else. Or if you want, hand me a FAP of your own to use.
Mind Essence for some TPing is not required. You get 220ME (10 Minor TP jumps) per hire. After that it's your own ME needed.
In the event you die from a massive crit, there is the option for me to finish the kill for you or shoot until you return to minimse cost due to mob regeneration. Team settings (stack share) will cover my portion of the loot.

This may take a bit of explaining. Mainly aimed towards people who:
Want additional firepower to hunt bigger mobs than normal.
Want to increase overall DPS to offset nerfed mob regeneration.
Don't want to have to deal with mobs when mining.
Need one more person on a beacon mission.
Are lonely and need another person around to appear more popular.

Fee is of your choice. Either choose from paying ammo and decay, handing me a weapon and ammo to use, or leave team settings on stack share to allow me to claim a % of loot.

Armour:
Vigilante
Ghost
Dragon
Jaguar (L) or Martial (L) when available
5B and 6A plates
Rare, but at my discretion, a Supremacy/Shadow/Tiger mix may be used. Generally avoid using it due to obscene decay costs.

Weapons:
Since some are (L) items, it depends whats available at the time. For stats see www.entropedia.info.
LR53/59/63/65 + 104/E-15 Amp, CB24/26/28 + Beast Amp
Marber Bravo Plasma Annihilator + A104/E-15 Amp
Kreigerum G1 Gauss Rifle + A103 Amp
Fire Forge SGH2200M + A103 Amp
Korss H400/P5A + A104, Svempa X1/BL1300 + Beast
Katsuichi Honor / Determination
...and a good old Justifier MK2

161 HP - subject to change due to routine chipping in/out

In a team I'll try and match what weapons are being used. So if everyone is using a Korss for example, I will too. Don't expect me to join an Opalo hunting team with an LR65+E15 Amp!

Marksmanship - Ranged Damage Assessment - Serendipity - Coolness - Wounding - Combat Sense - Melee Damage Assessment - Martial Arts - Medicine - Treatment - Avoidance - Calypso Ground Assessment - Extraction - Animal Taming - Power Catalyst - Ethereal Soul Language

Want to keep up fast paced hunting? Don't want to stop to loot mobs, get weighed down, or having looted ammo interfere with your bought ammo? Well here's your answer!

You shoot, I loot. Will also include trips to replenish ammo and repair dead amps. This is especially convenient in long hunting events where time is of the essence, such as Merry Meyhem.

Price is 10PED per hour. Maximum of 4 hours. Isn't 4 hours of convenience worth 40PED? Any % of globals, HOFs or ATHs at your discretion.

"But why should I trust you with my loot?" you're asking. Even after playing for over four years, I still have a untarnished reputation within Entropia, and been a member (eventual leader) of the infamous Terra Verde society. Also have been trusted in the past with other players items, including DOAs, ML35s, Resurrection Chips and Adjusted FAPs. If required, references can be arranged.

In the very, highly unlikely event my Entropia computer should suddenly die or explode before handing the loot back over, I will contact MindArk support ASAP and get them to transfer it from my account over to you.

New to Entropia? Need to get some difficult teleporters on your map, or just need help in finding the last few on your list?

I charge a flat fee of 5PED per hour, with a maximum cost of 20PED. I can accommodate up to a group of 5 people at any one time, so if you get four friends to go with you, it works out at 1PED per hour each.

This includes protection from mobs*, rescue from outposts and idle conversation including (almost) any questions about Entropia.

*within reason.
